This subject was discussed at the SCHSSCA Winter Clinic held in January:
quote:(2) Our association also debated Friday night the way we want to approach the issue of how the HSL approves the eligibility of foreign students (in particular Hispanic/Latinos). Currently, the HSL does not accept foreign birth certificates and only accepts passports, citizenship papers, department of state form 1350, and foreign service forms 240/545. In short, illegal aliens (those without the aforementioned documents) are not permitted to play per HSL rules. There is a proposal in front of the HSL to accept foreign birth certificates and this is what I'd like folks opinions. Please reply with your point of view and reasons supporting your stance.
