Eastside 8 Southside 0
The Eastside Lady Eagles visited the Southside Lady Tigers on a beautiful spring evening. The pace of the game from the kick-off continued from the Mauldin game the night before much to Southside's detriment. The first goal was a header on a corner kick from sophomore midfielder #18 Rice to freshman forward #10 Martin (:12). The Eagle's coach started substituting ala hockey 6 girls at a time every 10 minutes. The next shift came in at the 20 minute mark. Freshman forward #22 Ruck took a shot that bounced off the cross bar and freshman forward #12 Jensen followed it up and scored (:20). #12 Jensen then went on a tear and scored 3 more times (:21, :23, :28), the last on a defense splitting pass by sophomore midfielder #18 Rice.
The second half started off quickly with a goal by senior forward #13 Culbertson from a pass by junior midfielder #9 Cirillo (:40). Another goal was added by #10 Martin (:57) and the last by #13 Culbertson with an assist by junior midfielder #15 Davis (:60).
#12 ended up with 4 goals, #10 with 2 and #13 with 2. Both Eastside goalies each played a half for the shut-out. The starting goalie played the field for the last 10 minutes and had a few shots. The Southside goalie had 12 saves.
