Kimi is one in a long line of girls that has played for Pendleton. Her experience and ability to play was a big asset to the success we had last season. Kimi is a very good defender and while the verbal abuse she received from both opponents and their fans is unfortunate, Kimi seemed to use it as motivation to perform that much better.
I am excited about the step we are taking to form the girls team. It is a great opportunity for not only Kimi, but the other female athletes at Pendleton. She will be missed from the boys team, but should be a terrific leader for the girls team.
