After the posting of the brackets talk has errupeted West of the Ashley about a player named Alex from RNE. Word has it she's pretty good. And from reading past posts o her and her team the "word" is apparently true. Another rumor has it that she has skill to top WA's Julie Bolt. Whats the opinion on Monday's matchup of RNE vs WA? quite curious.

You can't really compare those two players...but I will say this: I've seen Moulton play in the upstate and I've seen Bolt play in state championships. I'd take Bolt on my team over her 100 out of 100 times.

Again, though, its just not good to compare.

My opinion [I've seen both play several times in RIIIPL play but not high school.] Both are undeniably among the best in the state. If I had to pick one of the two to take the ball, evade about a billion angry defenders, and score -- it would be Alex Mouton. If I had to pick one of the two to take the ball, draw in and evade about a billion angry defenders, and then make a perfect pass so that just about anyone could finish, it would be Julie Bolt.

If I had to take one coach to do my comparing, I would choose R1C. He's a multiple-threat dude -- he can compare and not compare at the same time! [Smile]

RNE's defense is a very big problem for RNE. WA should easily win this game.

Her last name means "sheep" in French. Mouton, I mean, not Bolt.

LED --

Having a degree in French and all I can help you with your family name's origins. Rozier comes from the old French word "rosier" -- the French like to change the spelling on everything. In the middle ages this word had two distinct meanings:

1) Ancient european flower more related to the modern day pansy than the current rose.

2) Well endowed member of the male sex.

Hope this is some help.
