How about the Lugoff-Elgin girls being ranked #14 in 3A! (also 2nd in their region)

I know that doesn't mean much to a lot of you 4A girl's posters..and that their schedule/results are not that impressive.. but this being only their 4th-5th year as a program, major props to them.

Manage to stay under the radar all season long.....South Aiken.

I think Wren would beat Northwestern (No offense to you, Coach Cesar).

South Aiken was not under anyone's radar...unless you just weren't paying attention! They have been ranked all season long, and rightfully so. They will be a very tough out for whoever faces them in the playoffs. By the way, I didn't just come up with this - I have been saying it all year. They were definitely not "under the radar" to anyone at Lexington.

Wren is a team that was ranked early, and hasn't been since the first couple of weeks, yet they went undefeated in their region. While it is not the toughest region (no offense intended R1C), it will be interesting to see how they match up after the first round. To me, Wren is "under the radar".

South Aiken is ranked #8 in the state, they only have three losses this year and they went undefeated in the Viking Cup.

Yet I have never heard anyone, including the fans of their regional foe in Lexington, ever mention them as a contender for the upperstate championship. We've heard Fort Mill, Mauldin, Lexington and Spartanburg.....never SA.

Hurst - I noticed you changed your signature today. It's a little late in the game for that. Your karma has been well established to this whole board from very early on in February. Nice try though. Good luck this week, not saying that you will need luck.
I agree with deahler.. SA will do well and probably go pretty far in the playoffs.

lpaf got on me about the karma thing. Said I'd have better luck if I went the other way.

I think SA will do well too. Nobody ever trumpeted their cause on these boards all year. There seems to be plenty of support for the boys side at SA.....haven't seen the same for the ladies.
