Congrats to the Lady Eagles from Airport. They played a tough match tonight against BC. They should be very proud of themselves for having such a great season!

Another impressive offensive performance by Fort Mill. Seeing them score 8, 7 and 5 goals in their first three state playoff games is refreshing. This is a time when goals are at a premium and many games are running into OT and PK's.

FM has not seen near the calibre of competition that West Ashley has faced and kudos to WA for doing it all on the road. Nice to see lpaf won't have too far to go to watch the lowerstate final.

The Lady Jackets have not faced a strong defensive team like Mauldin in a long time. I caught glimpses of the Lady Mavs semi-final loss to JI in the Viking Cup. They didn't yield too many chances.

Both state semi-finals should be very exciting. Good luck to the Final 4.

You are right on it in congratulations to the Lady Eagles of Airport. They have come along way and the future looks bright. Who knows, maybe next year they will be playing each other for the lower state title. Good Luck to the Lady Bearcats, they are a very talented and athletic team and are only 2 wins from a State Title.

No credit to SA???

SA played very well, FM coach gave them a lot of credit in today's Rock Hill Herald. Goalkeeper was very good and the PC-bound girl who scored on the free kick played very well. In fact, as you know, the SA goal that tied the match 1-1 just before half really buzz-killed the FM faithful. The crowd appeared a little nervous going into the second half and that was due to the Lady T-breds fine effort.

I'm assuming you were at the match. The second FM goal was questionably off-sides. AR's have been extremely conservative all season (it seems even is off). FM fans have seen that Danielle Schmitt-run called off-sides too many times this year. From our vantage point, it was nice to see the flag stay down for a change.

I imagine SA did not get to be 17-3 using a counter-attacking strategy all season. You have a very physically strong and skilled team. I imagine you are used to playing a little more wide open style, with more building of the attack. Last night it looked like you were relying primarily on the counter-attack. Is that how it seemed from your vantage point?

Great season for SA. Looks like you and Lex will be duking it out down there for the next few years. Good luck.

We had mostly 2-man system for the regular season, occassionaly had a third official. For the playoffs we've had three.

Didn't want you to think we were getting real special treatment up here. Our fans sympathize with you though.....know what you're saying about the 2-man system.

Airport and BC both played with a lot of heart and guts. congrats to AHS for making it this far and good luck to BC in the lowerstate title game.
