Everything is relative. WA is a pretty good lowcountry team lucky to get through a hard playoff series by the skin of their wildcat incisors. Fort Mill is, well, #1 since the begining, Nationally ranked, overwhelming playoff victories...
We're just lucky to still be playing.

The young (and I do mean "young") ladies of Fort Mill are heading into uncharted waters. The seasoned veterans of West Ashley have been there before, twice, and have come home victorious. Experience is on your side my friend. Your roster is loaded with experience while our roster is loaded with........sophomores and freshmen.
Excuse me if I sound like a Lex supporter (they shouldn't be offended, they're from the upperstate and they're pulling for FM....I hope), but we are green and lucky to be on the same field with thoroughbreds like J, B2 & B. We are johnny-come-latelies to the party. Consider us rebels or mavericks...but don't consider us the favorite.
We are honored (and fortunate) to still be playing.

Come on H66. FM is indeed honored to still be playing, but fortunate? I think they are more deserving than fortunate. The girls earned every win on their schedule. And a few of the young girls are quite experienced playing in front of crowds for prestigious championships. It'll be a fair, even and exciting match tomorrow night. Go Jackets (again)!

I would like to offer that "records and rankings do not count when it comes down to the championship game," but I'm sure someone will end up proving it wrong...so, I'll go ahead and ask the question...has anyone done a comparison of State Championship opponents' records and rankings vs. who ends up winning the final match, i.e., does the record/ranking of the teams going into the state championship match reflect the outcome?
(hopefully, that made sense)

Read the post before you reply - I said upstate teams, not Upper State teams. That said - I was still wrong. I meant to refer to the north central region of South Carolina which has no name of its own. East of Spartanburg, north of Richland, west of Marlboro. Any state champs there? Very well might be - I just said I couldn't think of any.
