Jim and I did some thinking together for a while. Afterwards, I contacted a club director (of sorts) and got the breakdown of Hanna club players and what they planned to do with themselves. Overall, I look forward to next year, however I do worry for some. How do you improve if you don't play? or you waste your time with a bad program?

Those were the actions of this man. Friday, however, will be a different story.

Mauldin never blamed losing on the weather. If you read it, they blamed the delay on Fort Mill. There was a little bit of delay, but the referees said it was fine to play if the coaches agreed. The FM coach "didn't feel comfortable" with his girls playing in that. So they waited. That is why the delay was so long. I think Mauldin did come out in the 2nd half taking it to FM, that doesn't mean they scored, but they came out playing tough, and doing everything they could to try and get a goal. FM won. No one is argueing that, but the score was 1-0, not 3-0, and not 1-1.

Congrats to the Mauldin team. You displayed the heart of a champion in the second half. We expected nothing less.

Both teams, I hope, will benefit from your tireless efforts.

number12d,

You are correct regarding the scenario above. Fort Mill coach deferred to his AD and the AD was rightfully being cautious. Your team was ready to play and played with a lot of passion. As 9z says, you were great defending champions and fought to the very end.

BC 2 Dreher 1

It was a great game. I can't say it was the best played soccer I have seen but it was very enjoyable to watch. BC scored hid-way through the first half. Dreher answered with a goal within 10-15 minutes of the second half. BC punched in the second goal with 10 minutes left on the board.

One side note. Dreher brought a very large crowd of fellow classmates to the game, who had a lot of fun with the game. The student section is always fun to watch.
