South 5 vs North 1

The game was much closer than the score suggests in overall play with fairly even play for much of the first half and the North team dominating the initial 20 minutes of the second half but failing to finish on a number of nice crossing opportunities. Lisa Frawley (JI) with two first half goals and Julie Bolt (WA) with two second half goals for the South. Casey Cash (Woodruff) scored the lone North goal and the South's 5th goal was made by Holly Mauldin (Irmo) on a Bolt cross. TL Hanna's Miranda Adams was a tenacious forward throughout the game, clearly the product of good coaching and a great hometown. Clean, hard play and good refereeing. A nice finishing touch. Thanks to everyone who spent their time and effort organizing and running the event, and thank you to all the players who came to Mount Pleasant to play.
