I have stated this before. I mean NO disrespect to BE, CC, or SSC, but this situation is not fair. A weak effort was made recently to recalculate attendance in private schools, but it failed because AAA doesn't want to have this situation. The short comment is, this isn't fair. The truth, however, is that some of the public schools COULD have won this year, but we fell short. If you are a sophisticated soccer person, you will see when the top public schools play the private schools, the private schools tend to have a broader BASE of experienced players with club backgrounds—creating the inequity. Rural public schools will never have a full team of club players, while the private schools have and can field an entire starting line up of club players because they are not restricted by attendance lines. It isn't an even playing field. That shouldn't be the case in high school athletics. If this was the case in AAAA football, something would be done (look into other states where that is the case).
