I have not seen the Hanna team play this year , but i play club with and against a lot of their players. I know that they have a lot of quality players, but am not sure how they work together. As far as the Westside score goes , that is just poor sportsman ship. Westside lost a lot of players and are basically playing with a lot of kids that just started. We beat them 9-1 and we are a 2A school. We had the class at least to not put 19 in the goal.

19-0 is a lot, but you don't know the History of those two schools and why that was done. I wouldn't do it, personally, but that one might have been justified. Still, I think it hurts the kids for Westside even though Hanna was trying to prove a point.

I don't know the history of that game?? Did you look at my profile to see where i live?? I LIVE IN ANDERSON and play with kids from both teams. Even though they are rivals, and westside beat them two years ago , there is no point in winning 19-0. You prove a point by winning. I think another point was proven, that they are bitter they got beaten two years ago , and want to prove it now that westsides team is down.

Honestly, I could care less about you and your profile. I'm not trying to insult you nor your understanding of the social megapolis that is anderson. My point is that there are reasons for what happened and more than meets the eye on this one. These things happen.

TL Hanna is a very bad team. They fell apart in the palmetto tournament. They lost all four games including a 5-0 loss to Tiny 1A Christ Church.

Tiny 1a Christ Church is a power house private school. Being private, they should not consider their enrollment the true size. When you can draw players from all over the county of Greenville you should not knock teams that are restricted by SCHSL rules that work with the players that they get from the proper attendance zones. Is it true that the best CCES player acually lives in Anderson and would be attending poor TL Hanna?

There's really no need for the bickering about the Christ Church/B-C match last Saturday.

The fact is that CCCES scored at the 69-minute mark and B-C scored at the 71-minute mark for a 1-1 draw in both teams' third match of The Palmetto Cup. Though B-C outshot CCES 15-5 and controlled the tempo most of the match, the Bearcats' achilles heel this season -- unlike no other in the past 10 years -- is the ability to finish shots. They say that "defense wins championships" -- well, B-C will certainly find that out before the season is over.

Coach David Wilcox of Christ Church has done an outstanding job with the Cavaliers and is to be commended, though he'll be the first to tell you that they were "underachieving" a bit earlier in the season. I look for CCES to represent Class 1A once again in the State Championship match come May!

P.S. -- Tomek Charowski is an outstanding sophomore who is zoned to attend T.L. Hanna. However, he's from Romania and the son of medical doctors who moved into the school district two weeks into his freshman year. So, they opted to enroll in CCES instead -- no harm done (except that T.L. Hanna would have a very good player in their system). Also, Scott Burgess impressed me during The Palmetto Cup. Good luck to the Cavs!
