Last three books I read were:

"A Rumor of War" by Phil Caputo (very good)

Book about Vietnam by R. McNamara (only ok)

Biography of John Adams (very good)

I'm re-reading the "Federalist Papers"--little bit at a time, while I sit on the side of soccer fields.

Hard to find time to read for pleasure.

If you gentlemen are the Premier League, I'm YMCA U-12. The last three books I read were:

1)Deat Be Not Proud Gunther

2)Tuesdays with Morrie Albom

3)Bobby Bowdens Autobiography

(Currently invovled in Things Fall Apart Achebe)

The time is difficult to find, but the stimulation in the form of dreams is priceless. Why just last night I dreamed I was in my 50's dying of brain damage, however comforted in the fact that I had loved sufficiently in life while residing in Nigeria. If books will take you a million places in a turn of a few places, then Books-A-Million is selling a lot of plane tickets.

You're everywhere tonight. I'll have one of whatever your drinking. Tuesdays with Morrie was a great read. I'm reading an updated version of the first book you mentioned adapted for parents with too many children, Debt be not Proud.

Who, might I ask, is the author of that popular classic?

Ahhhh yes, Ima. I've seen his work on many a stall on I-85. Guess I won't be asking primary care to be sponsoring the 1st Annual T.L. Hanna Invitational.

Tuesdays with Morry is a great read. I recently finished My Losing Season (Conroy)- another good one, anyone who have had great expectations dashed will appreciate. I really haven't read much of Conroy's work. No I haven't read the Great Santini, and I'm sorry! I will one day...

For the golfer, Final Rounds by James Dodson (editor of Golf Magazine) is a great story about a son and his dying father. A Golfer's Life from Arnold Palmer is pretty good. Great Quote "Golf is the places you go and the people you meet". The same goes with soccer...

Preferred Lies and Other Tales by Jack Whitaker is a good general sports read.

Thinking of going back to my Lewis Grizzard collection - tough times require desperate and futile measures.
