Yes, several at the same time. All played premiere and challange league, won thier state titles and went to Regionals. ODP must have been in the mix, too.

Obviously, the goodriter's are well traveled people. How can one not be inspired by a sunrise at Fantasy Harbor Field (former brickyard) in Myrtle Beach, or autumn's turning of the leaves on the two hardwood trees and also the gentle slopes which are on the field at Meadowlake Park?
I believe that Ima also drew inspiration from the smells of the room in the Comfort Inn on the Sunday morning of a soccer tournament.
I also believe that Ima had soccer in mind when she wrote the following: "Paranoia is rational when everyone is out to get you." BLJ

Being a Greenville lad, I could hurl a rock 32 miles to your doorstep. A coach, fan, or father?

Coach, You must one heck of an arm! I am settling in to the father/fan role as my daughter will only be home two more years.
I have been more involved on the club side, managing a team and working as a classic coordinator and I am keeping some stats for the high school crowd. Hopefully I have been an adult that has stayed out of the way of the players and coaches. BLJ

Greenville. We had a tough opener last evening against a much improved Wren team 2 - 4. I think the girls will get it together and play some good soccer this season.
My playing days are long over and many of the lessons that I learned in life came from sports. We have to give our children the chance to learn those lessons on their own as well. May be a good topic - "What is the most important lesson, you learned from soccer/sports?"
One of these days I am going to write a book (will have to change the names to protect the innocent and a couple of the guilty). I have a title in mind and plenty of stories to go in it. I hope Ima Goodriter doesn't beat me to it.
Now tell me. What is the farthest distance that you have thrown a rock???? BLJ

I've never heard of a book recounting the club soccer experience at home and on the road but there would be a huge natural audience (most of the parents of club soccer players can and do actually read). Plus, almost everyone you bump into has to have a story or two worth telling. Let me know when you're ready for mine. Have a great weekend and good luck to Greenville High.

I too have thought about the "soccer book" (being a parent of a daughter that played classic, high school, ODP and college).. "shock comes to the family of the rec player that has made the leap to classic"......
