It is not ,in my opinion, the best way for SC to determine its state champion who, at u14 and above, will represent the state at regionals. Great for the underdog but sort of a raw deal for clearly stronger teams who have one bad day of finishing.
Why is the U12 game relevant to your post? Premier League is, as you said, for U14 and above, so why change the U12 format? Glad to see you thought that one hot. Good job. Also, if the Wizzmo had 36 shots, how did they not finish 1 of them? Or how come they did not beat them in PKs? Wizzmo had beaten this team 8-0 earlier in the season, so they may have been a little too confident. Another thing, so what if one team "packs it in the back"? You have to play your game, and Wizzmo were not able to adapt to seeing a different style of play. You sound like you are very soccer knowledgeable, in a special ed kind of way.

I agree Gooner. Were all 36 shots unlucky or did the other team hinder their finishing? What about the 2 overtimes? or the PK's? Could it be that one team made adjustments and outplayed their "stronger" opponent? Sometimes David beats Goliath!

Coastal teams recorded 10 shutouts out of a possible 12. Great weekend for Lowcountry teams....hopefully they can keep the momentum for the finals!
