I notice that 4 teams in the U17 Challenge League are still undefeated. It appears NECSA and MPSC have run through the league without hardly giving up a goal. Northside and James Island appear to be pretty strong as well.Any comments on the fall season and the upcoming state cup?

The picture should be a little bit clearer after this wekend - James Island plays both Mt. Pleasant and NECSA on Saturday. If I had to pick which two teams would eventually advance to the state cup to play the premiere teams, I would go with Mt. Pleasant and NECSA. In looking at the overall team statistics, one think that really stands out is that NECSA has only allowed one goal in seven games. What happened to the CESA Challenge team (old GFC team)?

From what I"ve seen the MPSC team is the strongest in the U17 Challenge league. They are fast with good skills and play with a high degree of energy. They should give the premier teams a good match. NECSA and James Island have solid teams but not quite to the level of MPSC. CESA has good players but the coaching is suspect.

Assuming CSC and MPSC win their first round games, they would then meet in the semi-finals. I think MPSC has an excellent chance of beating CSC in that match. CSC has given up a lot goals this season and won only one match, albeit against very good competition.
