She seems to be doing just fine now, doesn't she?

Gretchen is a wonderful coach. I have coached against here for several years. Here teams are always very skilled and play a very controlled game. Congratulations to her and her team on winning the Classic Cup this past weekend. Good luck in North Little Rock next June.

Two of the goals in the match occured because of poor officiating. One goal was scored after the ball was FULLY in the keepers possesion. By saying that CUSC seemed to dominate 98% of the time was intended in a manner regarding ball skils, not scoring ability. I was just posting my opinion, thats what this site is about after all, correct? my apologies if you don't agree.

Gretchen does have a baby, by the way. I saw her husband with it on the sidelines this weekend as i watched the games. And rumor has it (from some CESA members) that the baby is what kept her from joining a challenge league this year.

Absolutely. Allow me to further demonstrate. I think it is ridiculous to come on a board and say that a team dominated another, yet somehow was dealt a cruel hand by fate and lost 4-0. Perhaps if you had said 96% your story would be more believable, but alas it is not. Just my opinion of course.

Granted the team was quick and skillful, however they did not match up well against CESA nor made proper adjustments to their formational strategy. I enjoyed viewing the finesse soccer, but it was obvious that the best style of the day won-efficient passing, physical play, and a more hungry attitude. Again, this is merely my opinion which is what this board is all about.

I didn't have the opportunity to see the game in question. Independent analysis over the years has led me to believe, however, that a score of 3-0 is sufficient demonstration of complete domination. 4-0 would be even better than complete.

Can anyone tell me what team EVER lost a match that was NOT the result of POOR OFFICIATING?

Every team ALWAYS plays GREAT; DOMINATES and yet is SCREWED by BAD / HORRIBLE / AWFUL officiating.

How about playing matches with NO officials? Let the players play and the coaches coach and the supporters support. Save ALL the money totally wasted on the blind, never knew ANYTHING about soccer officials. Maybe then the fees will be a lot cheaper. Just an idea. The only drawback I can think of is that then the supporters without having officials to yell at and tell them HOW they should have made the calls would have to then start yelling at the coaches about HOW to coach perfectly. And the players would have to yell at their teammates and blame them for any error made.
Coaches would have to figure out some other reason why the team lost.

i was out of town this weekend and missed all the immaturity on this board...can everyone just take a breather and calm down...its just an opinion, no need to get fussy. we all sound like a bunch of people from Wando. but then again maybe that isnt such a bad thing. they did win girls HS state, did they not?

Oh, come now. You're just upset everyone was picking on your silly statement! It's really quite simple...You think teams can dominate opponents 98% of the time and lose 4-0...the rest of us don't. Nothing to be insecure or even remotely bothered about. You should be happy for sparking some decent posting in an otherwise "dead time". Besides, both those teams made it to state which is far more than the competition can say so lets all tip our glasses to these fine young ladies and wish them, and each other, a happy holiday. Can I get a carol from the audience please?
