More and more clubs are posting tryout information, so I decided it best to remind you of the Bridge FA tryouts, which begin on Monday, May 9th at SSC. Additional details can be found at the

There has been a significant amount of discussion on the message board concerning training locations. Currently Bridge FA has secured agreements for training at SSC, JIYSC, and Daniel Island. Actual practice location will not be finalized until after tryouts and team formations. Bridge FA is committed to utilizing the training sites available to best accomodate all players on teams. The individual teams will work closely with the coaching board to finalize practice times and locations. Foremost in consideration will be the location of the majority of the team. While we were hopeful to be able to offer the use of facilities in Mount Pleasant, that is not available this year. We feel that Daniel Island should provide a suitable alternative.
In addition to the training locations, there has been a significant amount of discussion pertaining to which coach with which team. While this has not been finalized, a preliminary listing has been developed and posted on the
Bridge FA web page.
Often times organizational direction differs from individual points of view. Many times within an organization there is the free expression of view points. However, after the organizational decision is made, it is up to every member of the organization to support and communicate that decision.
For various reasons both CUSC and MPSC have decided that they could not particpate with the Bridge Futbol Alliance this year, as an alliance club member. We are hopeful that both of these clubs will continue the dialogue with Bridge FA in an effort to grow and strengthen the alliance next year. Both of these organizations understand the current structure of the alliance. Bridge FA is committed to finding the middle ground with these organizations. There really are only a couple of key items that need to be adhered to.
We are excited about the possibility of bringing more clubs into the alliance either one month before the season starts, or next year. To date very few people I have spoken to within either the coaching or administration of the clubs has not agreed both conceptually and philosophically with Bridge FA. Unfortunately, some organizations can't move as rapidly as others.
SCYSA has only one club to work with this year for regional play. With the proper support from parents and players, next year, they will have at least two clubs to work with. We have the talent within the low country to win some of the State Cup titles, all we have to do is put them together.
