Just in Case anyone cares, a new boys classic team in lower lexington is being formed for the upcoming season. The team will include players from Swansea, Gilbert, Edisto, and Orgeburg Prep highschools, I believe.

Just in case you care, here it is.

Who is coaching this team? Seems like Lower Lexington would include Batesburg-Leesville as well. Maybe even Airport, huh?

I don't know how well they will compete, but I think it is great to make an effort to get club soccer out there in that area where players would normaly have to travel a good distance to play for club soccer teams. I think this in the near future could have a huge impact on the quality of the schools previously mentioned

Deep ben, real deep...

Well, It's a new team so you can expect us to play like a new team. But, I think that we will do ok.

And by the way, Shaun Jacques will be the head coach.

Typically, you hear of youth soccer clubs popping up where there are all too many youth soccer clubs already. Swansea, Gilbert, Edisto, and Orangeburg need something like this badly...this is really good news for soccer in our state and better news for soccer in this area. This is the kind of thing the midlands of South Carolina needs to not only offer opportunities to older kids playing soccer but also to attract younger kids who typically might not play soccer at all.

Shaun Jacques has coached teams that won three state championships [two classic, one challenge]; I always thought he was a good coach.

Good luck to LLSC.

Lower Lexington has some other teams. Who are the coaches for those teams?
