Does Eddie Crosby not coach an older level premier team?

Shearer, I find it hard to believe that you consider the 17's a toss up. Tormey is one of the co exec directors, has coached numerous state champions, is on the ESP staff, the list goes on and on. This is not a one on one coaching battle here, but it is fun to look at. It looks like the only "matchup" that is close is the 16 boys. Dick Hiller appears, to me, to be the top coach in their club. While most of Hiller's success comes in high school, he has won 1 state championship in club and has a playing background and is licensed.

The girls side of CESA also looks very strong, though it looks like CSC has some good young coaches in Moore and Keen.

The only reason I say toss is just for the reasons you gave. Pearse is a GREAT Coach/CEO...but how much time does he have for this team? Is he training them? If he is there full time you are right if not toss up...

Lower....Being nice here.....The top of CESA is great but give some credit....CSC has some pretty good coaches...IF(not to sound like 2004 sucker) they had all the kids in cola you MIGHT(might might) see the same results...but they havent and CESA has so great job them.

But some of the guys you give "praise" too are not up to par.

Must agree with lowerstate about CESA coaching staff.
Between Tormey, Hyslop, Parkison (sp), Minihand (sp) Osario, and Moore these guys win whatever the name of the club. I almost forgot the new coach Finotti. Other clubs do have excellent coaching, but top to bottom, CESA'S staff stands alone.

my picks for the december state cup are as follows

u18 boys-Cesa (i like the CSC team's chances, they do have the talent, but the Cesa team has been great in premier league play)

u17 boys-CSC (They are outstanding, loads of talent from all over the midlands, and Pinasco has them in top physical shape)

u16 boys-lexington (Justin Rhodes)

u15 boys-DSC (They have played against top notch competition in the premier league and have proven to be one of the best in our region)

u18 girls-Cesa (don't know anything about them)

u17 girls-Cesa (They have played well in the premier league, however, CSC is 13-0 GF-GA in challenge, and have a final test on the 29th vs. CASC)

u16 girls-Cesa

U15 girls-Cesa

So I guess I'm looking at another Cesa dominated State Cup, but I think we'll get atleast 3 new representatives at regionals this year. Possibly a fourth in the u17 girls and a fifth in u18 boys.

Agreed; I think Pearse is great also.

CESA's co-executive directors are full-time employees of CESA; as such they are able to both lead the club and coach concurrently.

Both of these guys love coaching and training soccer teams; I can't imagine a scenario in which they didn't coach and train.

[2004striker] I don't think they were ever once powerful, but yes BridgeFA will be the club in lowcountry. MPSC should ally with them in their quest to possibly become a powerful club.

[2004striker] That is possible cause Cola. area clubs have never been powerful club-wide. I don't have the numbers. What are the numbers for MPSC? I still doubt the numbers will reveal a powerful club. MPSC still needs to join with BridgeFA to produce a powerful club.<<

Without publishing exhaustive detail, several notes:

• In the 2004-2005 season, MPSC was second in the state to CESA in terms of state challenge finalists for U13-U18. [6 second-place, 1 first-place]
• From memory when I did the last analysis, looking back three or so years before the 2004-2005 season, MPSC was third in terms of state challenge finalists behind SGU and GFC.
• In terms of Columbia clubs, NECSA was once very strong in terms of state challenge finalists and could be considered a powerful club; however, in the past few years NECSA has not produced a lot of finalists.

I dont recall giving any praise to anyone, just stated that I thought CESA's staff was better. However, who do you think is not up to par? Would love to hear your thoughts. i have some of my own

I know you do. If you read up on the threads I have stated that I was corrected. You win this one. I thought "sweet feets" post was right on. What did you think?

I was not looking to win shearer. I thought his post was pretty close. i was just trying to get more of your opinion.
