Good point. Tough for a D2 coach to recruit quality SC players when those kids would rather sit on the end of a USC, Clemson or CofC bench. Doesn't mean the D2 coach isn't trying.
As for ODP, it was much more meaningful before the days of the Super Clubs. In a state as geographically small as our's (a one Super Club state), there is no reason to lay out the time and money for ODP if you have the means to get to Greenville three times a week. The exposure you can get playing for CESA's premier team is probably enough to get you noticed by whoever needs to see you.
