Is it for sure that DSC will not play premier next year. I thought someone mentioned that they would likely get invited to play due to their success the past 2 years. That would put 3 south carolina teams in the u16 premeir league.

if they do...the rule is that they must play the challenge league as well in order to qualify for state cup. This is a heavy burden for a team to do

That is a good point. I know a girls team in North Carolina who had to do that. That ends up being 15 plus league play games over 10ish weekends leaving no time for tournaments. My guess is that most of the powerful DSC players will be leaving and the team will be challenge.

Thats what i like to hear. Speculations of Enzo, Alex, and Robbie leaving to join the Cesa '90 premier team would definatly be very hurtful to their team, but would make them still competative in challenge league. we cant speculate too much because i have a feeling DSC is going to some how petition to be in premier league, which would most like result in those key players staying with DSC and continue to be a great team in the premier league.

Nope, there aren't many scores if any listed. Heard that the Ambush score was 4-0 over CSC. That is the story of how their season has gone though. Started 0-2-2. but then dominated the later games in challenge with a goal differential of 29ish-1. Then played their toughest opponent in Cesa and pulled off a strong 1-0 victory. (I say strong because in the 20 minutes of the game I saw Necsa had 5 or 6 scoring opportunities that they muffed, and I heard Cesa never really had a good scoring opportunity). I know the ambush would be thrilled to play regionals now rather than June. They are playing their best soccer right now, and hopefully the time between state and regionals won't affect their performance at regionals.

A dominant performance by NECSA Ambush in both the semi-final and final. Their defense simply doesn't give up good shots on goal. CSC may have the players with all the hype, but a 4-0 loss once again proves that soccer is a team game.

I thought that NECSA played with a terrific fire on Saturday especially the leadership shown by the curly headed kid. Missed yesterdays final, but I figured they would win based on the attitude that they possessed. Congratulations to the Ambush!
