Once he/she gets certified, to get games, you need to let ref assignors know you exist. I would suggest starting out with rec games to get some experience. In Mt. Pleasant, the town's in-house program is a good place to start and you can get quite a few games, plus, you won't have to drive far. They have a spring and a fall season that runs about 8 weeks and a season ending tournament. Then, within the Charleston area, there is a league for rec teams to play other clubs, that's called the Lower State Youth Soccer Association. There seems to be a whole bunch of assignors for this league:

And rec tournaments are also a good way to get a pile of games. Summerville has one in Feb, Mt. Pleasant in March and James Island in Nov. Each tournament will have their own ref assignor. Go to the tournament website and the assignor should be listed or you can just contact the tournament director.
