Don't know if this link will work. Congrats to CESA U-14G, I talked with one of their players at an IHOP on Sunday morning. Since my U-14 daughter's team moved to NC, I'm not in the loop on how the U-14 girls season is going (other than what I see on Hotstat). Perhaps someone should start a thread on U-14G.

GVL Dad,

I don't know all the details. I saw the OT of the Glory vs. Mt. Pleasant match on Sunday morning. Very competitive game and both teams looked real good. Glory had a monster in #23. Big kid....good player.

In the Glory vs. TC final, I left at halftime (0-0). Apparently with 12 minutes to go, Glory went up 1-0. One minute later, TC scored to draw even. One minute after that, Asa blasted a world class goal into the upper 90 from 25 yards out to win it.

I know this is a very competitive age group in SC and Tega Cay is hanging in there. Ricky and Asa are unbelievable up top and David Walas in the midfield is as cool as the under-side of a pillow.

Watched a Match Sunday and Cesa Challenge tied Cesa Premier 0-0.

Always exciting when the little brother can hold his own against his big brother.

I agree with you Kickinupstate.I have been watching them as well. They look pretty impressive this season.

It should be interesting to see how the U-13 flip flop around in placement. Tega Cay has some challenging games ahead of them and Bridge gold is back from their 3 week league break.

Tega Cay U-14 Boys won both of their games on Saturday and then lost to Discoveries 2-0 on Sunday. Discoveries advanced and took the championship, Tega Cay went home. Both teams missed PK's in the match and Discoveries scored their second goal with less than 2 minutes to play. Discoveries borrowed 2 guest players from their premier U-15 team (one of them, Enzo's brother I believe, scored both goals).

Rematch is this Saturday morning at Winthrop. Good luck to both teams.

That should be a good rematch, keep us posted.

I have to say that the quality of the teams attending the older brackets of the AFc lightning tourney has falling off some. It wasn't too long ago that they had teams from Louisiana, Mississippi, etc...

I know they have had scheduling problems with NASCAR before, anyone know why the drop-off?

kickinupstate,

Just curious....did CESA 92 Premier play the kid up top with the fro when they played the Challenge team? Seems like he has gotten into some type of minor trouble (I don't mean to start any wild rumors here) that has kept him on the bench a good bit of the time.

I did have one person tell me the other day that they thought the Challenge team was just as strong, if not stronger, than the 92 Premier team. CESA Challenge is definitely a team to look out for.

Two games of mild interest this weekend:

Bridge 92 Gold vs Mt. Pleasant, and
Bridge 92 Red vs CESA 93 Premier (the two true-U12 teams in the league)

Any predictions on either of those?
