As much as I like Bridge Red, I have to disagree. Of course, everybody has a chance to win state cup, but I don't see it happening with the Reds this year.

Yes, they beat Mt. Pleasant, but that team is struggling this season and are currently 4-3-1 in league play.

The Reds did not play the Gold last season in league play, and have not played them yet this season in league play. The Reds did beat the Gold team several months ago, but things have changed a lot since then. The Reds are currently 3-4, and have yet to play Tega Cay and Bridge Gold.

They are definitely a solid, well-skilled team, but I see '07 as being their year for state cup champs (when they will most likely be playing their own age group).

Are you talking about the Bridge Red team winning States in U13? I've seen them play the CESA 92 Challenge team twice (Savanah tournament and in league play last weekend). They are talented but they are too small to compete with some of the better teams in the U13 group. If you're talking about them winning U12 then I don't know anything about that age group.

I wish them the best of luck in their age group.

Mt Pleasant 2 - Bridge '92 Gold 0

I didn't reply to this post before, but

Maybe you could clarify exactly why the players changed clubs. If I remember correctly, one of them tried out, but did not make the Bridge team. The other wanted to focus more on another sport, and felt the Mt. Pleasant team was not as serious about soccer as the Bridge team. Small details, I suppose.

The kid that tried out "but didn't make" the Bridge Gold '92 informed the coach that he was playing in Mt Pleasant at the end of tryouts. Today, he assisted on the first goal and scored the second, 2-0. Congratulations Mt Pleasant! Every player stepped up and played the way I know you can.

SFF,

If that's the way you want to look at it, that's fine...I guess we all have our own little fantasy worlds we like to go to sometimes.

I wondered how long it would take you to get back home and post here. I bet you drove home so fast your wife was screaming the whole way.

Too bad she doesn't say anything to you during the games, though - you make such a wonderful impression on everyone around you - your own team's parents included. Have you ever wondered why no one sits within about 15-20 feet of you during matches?

It was a well-fought match today. Congratulations Mt. Pleasant.

B'ent, You really are an idiot, fantasy - the boys left it on the pitch [2-0], personal attacks, get a towel and go cry in it. CORRECTION! Your husband married a loser! I'll introduce myself the next time I see you.

By the way, your awful cocky behind a computer.

SFF,

Your choice of screen name is interesting, as you dont appear to have fun with any aspect of the game itself...preferring instead to talk trash and verbally abuse other posters.

You talk about getting personal...lets see...Ive lost track of how many times youve called me an idiot...and an SOB...and, oh yeah...last time you posted, seems like you mentioned something about your foot up my butt. I dont know how you were raised, but I consider that pretty personal.

The sad part here is that you are so very serious about the game, I dont think there is any way possible that you can actually enjoy it. You either dont care at all about anybody around you, or you are so intent on making sure that each and every boy on that field hears every instruction of yours that you have absolutely no clue how miserable you are making everyone around you.

I feel especially bad for the boys on your side of the field, but get some small sense of relief knowing that they only have to put up with your rantings for half the game. Poor center mid-fielders, though...I doubt they catch a break at all.

Im not sure where you get the cocky part from. If you go back and look at my posts, I think (pretending for just a moment that you are a reasonable and logical person) you should see that I am a pretty upbeat and optimistic person. I dont even let people like you get me down.

I dont know about you (its hard to tell through all the vitriolic language you spew) but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Mt. Pleasant boys play their hearts out today. It was clear to me that they wanted to win that game more than the Bridge team. I am sure that several of those boys, along with their parents, will be welcome additions to the Bridge family next season.

Again, congratulations to the Mt. Pleasant team on a great match today.

I would like to comment on a team with the heart of a lion- the CASC 92 Rangers. This team was a joy to watch - mainly because they kept their heads up and played the ENTIRE game not one time giving in. A nod also to their parents for being such great fans and for raising boys that work so hard.

Cheers,

Haven't heard from you in a couple weeks...you been on vacation? Any predictions for this weekend's matches?

Mt. Pleasant vs. CESA 92 Challenge
Mt. Pleasant vs. NECSA
CESA 93 vs CESA 92 Premier

Mt. Pleasant should be riding high with a big win over Bridge Gold this past weekend...think they can keep up the momentum?
