You could be right Chico. But if I were a parent or a coach or on the Board at CSC or Necsa or Lexington I wouldn't want CESA in the Midlands right now.
Those guys need to get together and then perhaps reach out to others in their district, ala Bridge.
When thats been done, then the flagship CLubs from each district should talk about partnering up so that the best players in the state can play together year 'round.

When you talk about Mt. P, you have to take off your soccer hat and put on your politician hat, you have to stand in their shoes. Yes, players are leaving. But players have always left to go play for other clubs. People have always, and still do, have choices. You can't stop that. But, if the town were to agree to join Bridge (assuming SCYSA allows it), then elected officials are throwing the door open and officially encouraging people to NOT participate in the city's soccer program. That's a big difference.

Chico, I'm not sure Northside is history. I think they still exist in SCYSA's eyes and reserve the right to field U15 - U18 boys teams in the fall.
Also, as Daddy indicates...if kids from Charlotte/Fort Mill travel to CESA for the "Premier Experience", why can't kids from Columbia do the same? Seems to be working. Why the need to "hang a hat" in Columbia?
Let me guess.....the same reason we need a Walmart in every town....so we don't have to drive out of town to shop at the other one.

The kids U11 - U14 are no longer affiliated with Northside. They are CSC.
But the U16 & U17 boys that played Northside last year are still lingering.

I can see that point...It would be like the Summerville Y telling the kids to go play at SSC.
I guess it's not always about competition.
Even kids that made Bridge teams have elected to not play this season due to wanting to play another sport and one child left last season to play on a Georgia Premier team...Now that's competition raising it's ugly head...no loyalty

Bridge fields both classic and challenge teams. The U-13 girls red play classic. It seems that Bridge just wanted to get started by duping SSC and JISC into pushing their best players to them. If they have girls at U-13 that can't compete at the Challenge level for Bridge, why were the girls not sent back to Classic teams at their respective clubs?
