Isn't Mt. Pleasant historically strong on the girls side? Isn't their current U14 Girls team the best team in the state?

Neither Mt. Pleasant nor Bridge have a team playing U-14 girls Challenge.

The Mt. Pleasant girls U-14 play Premier.

Yes, the Mt Pleasant conquest won state last year..they played just tourneys last season and premier this season...As far as the Bridge team playing Classic...good question.It has been asked alot.If Summerville had fielded a 13 classic team this season then Bridge would of been competeing against an alliance member.I do not believe the girls had a very good Fall season so I guess we have a challenge team playing in a claasic divison. they won both of their games last weekend.

Is Charlotte going to be using the new fields in Rock Hill? If they are, and I heard they were, then they are going to be gaining an advantage over other NC teams by going across state lines while Northside still exists. I can't follow your logic. One minute you are against the "evil empires" of the world gaining more control while it looks like CSC is doing just that and in the meantime hurting Discoveries and Tega Cay. I am simply trying to help you protect your district the way you want to protect NECSA. If those fields are going to be used by CSC then why wouldn't Tega Cay and Northside have a beef. It certainly sounds like collusion to me.

So,to the point, is CSC planning to use the new fields or not?

Child of mine, I wouldn't know. My board days are long past.

But I doubt DSC or TCSC can fill them and neither has experience in running tournaments. Not saying they can't.....but none have been there. Good luck to them in their efforts tho. Maybe the State can help support them by having State Cup there next year.

Maybe CSC could use them for Super Y. The tournaments they run are NCYSA approved, so playing in SC couldn't happen.

I've been by there tho and they look very nice.

Let me clear up a couple of things, Northside is not officially done. Their younger players have moved to Charlotte Soccer Club. However, what about the older boys who have been committed to the club? well they were thought about and there will be Northside teams formed in the fall. The Northside teams that were younger all stayed together, but instead of playing in SC and using the Northside name, they play out of NC and use the Charlotte SC name. am i correct hurst? the koalas are still together with their same trainer right? So technically it is still more of a partnership. CSC hopes to get the one or two top players from the area on their upper teams, but will allow regionally based teams to remain the same. Wonder if the 50% rule applies in NCYSA. CSC also hopes to get use of Manchester Soccer Complex in Rock Hill for however they can use it. It will be one of the finest facilities in the state when they finish it.
