Which teams can compete at that level that LCSC has? I agree w/ Shearer(YIKES)they only have one team that can compete on that level.

PS Will Justin be coaching that team since he has been named DOC of Alphretta?

There is a U16G team coached by Alan Riches that played premier last year...finished third in the state a year ago and fourth this year (I think).

As best as I can tell US club soccer should not be confused with Super Y. Super Y is a separate league which uses US Club soccer as the registration point, etc. US club soccer on the other hand does offer quality competition in tournamnets and from some teams in certain areas.

I seriously doubt that the club will join for one or two teams.

I think that the reason that there's so much questioning about teams can be summarized in the following table (Fall, 2005):

 -

LCSC has established a de facto reputation as more of a "classic" club than a "challenge/premier" club due to the migration of many players to other clubs and the fact that they had more classic teams than challenge teams.

Please note that there are some good challenge teams at LCSC -- the question folks have is how many -- and perhaps more importantly, does LCSC has the intent of taking steps to become more competitive and field a broader array of "challenge/premier" teams?

I hope so...and I hope that the USCS announcement was a step in that direction.

LCSC is a redneck club and should not be allowed to participate in any league. We have suffered racial slander at their fields with no remorse what so ever.

What do you expect in Lexington County?

When we first moved here in 1990, an officer on base asked where we were moving and I told him near the base. He said "good, just don't move across the river." It took me some time to figure out what he meant, but now I know.

My kid played there for several years (left several years ago); two of those years with a fantastic coach who is African American. I never saw or heard any racism at the club. However, I have no doubt that racism exists almost everywhere. I'm very sorry for what occurred to you at the fields. The players and parents that I know who are still in the club would never condone that behavior.
