He is overweight, not a team player, can't score in important situations, is lucky enough to play from a team that fields a team of all-stars, and just hasn't been in form since he blew his knee out.

what was that link about??
And Ronaldo might be overweight, and yes maybe not a team player, but that crap about he never scores on important situation...I just wanted to remind you that he scored in the World Cup Final against the "great" Oliver Kahn. He is not a team player, because he does not play for his teammates, his teammates play for him, to get him the ball up top and let him do what he does best...SCORE.

Like Ronaldo, none of Brazil's players are "team" players. Here in the USA, we are taught to play as a team, but in Brazil, they play as individuals. Apparently, it is working. Brazil World Cups - 5 USA World Cups - 0

Oh sorry, I did not mean to insult the mighty Brazilian soccer gods. Brazil has won more world cups because soccer is all they do down there, and does not have as much interest in the states. USA will not be able to compete with teams like brazil, france, and the other south american and european lot. They have soccer academies that take kids from the age of walking and they play soccer all the time. Our system of soccer programs here is just to weak to compete at a high level. But, I still hope that one day, the usa will win a world cup. Its possible, but will take some more work.

HAHAHAHAHAHA THAT WAS A GOOD ONE.
ARE YOU FROM ENGLAND OR AMERICA?
YOU'RE FUNNY...
RONALDO DOES NOT SCORE IN IMPORTANT GAMES?
O MY GOD, DO YO EVER WATCH SOCCER ON TV? DID YOU EVER PLAY SOCCER?
1. MARADONA (ARG) 2. RONALDO (BRAZIL) 3. PELE (BRAZIL)
IF YOU THINK DIFFERENT BRING SOME GOOD ARGUMENTS!
LEARN ABOUT SOCCER, PLAY IT, WATCH GAMES, VIDEOS, AND THEN WE TALK... I CAN TEACH SOME IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY!

Fenomeno, for the first time I'm going to have to disagree with you, Ronaldo is not there yet...I mean to be ranked that high, Ronaldo is awesome, but Pele was from another planet.
1.Maradona Pele 2.???? 3.Di Stefano? 4.Platini 5.Cruyf Beckenbauer And I'm pretty sure that soon Ronaldinho will be up there....

That list is about Soccer Legends, players that left us a Legacy...not about the most popular players.
