Michael Schumacher has been a much loved and hated, unstoppable force in F1 racing since 1994. This weekend will be his last race. With that move a huge amount of mushy articles are flying around.
Turns out that Michael Schumacher has been playing for a third division Swiss soccer team.
FC Echichens. He's only listed as "Star", but hey... he's listed! In 2002 he was signed for Modena in Italian Serie A. That didn't come to much.

Every year there's a tounge-in-cheek F1 team soccer tourney that's mostly a press event. I believe Renault driver Giancarlo Fischicella had to actually make a choice between pursuing a soccer or racing career seriously.
