Voice...Have not heard that one..Is your word on the street coming from someone in the board room? Unless the board called a special meeting since the January meeting..They are not scheduled to meet until the first week of next month. Might be a good idea to make that trip to the meeting to find out what's going on...

UPDATE....Talked to a board member...no vote has taken place so the rumor is false...

The same few issues have been in the works for a very long time and it does not seem to be moving forward. But, since I am not a member of SSC and don't participate in thier board meetings maybe I just don't see the big picture in not resolving this.

As a Bridge parent I have no problem traveling to JIYSC and maybe they will appreciate what the Bridge has to offer our kids and keep the lowcountry competitive with the rest of the state.

Maybe it is a field use issue and taking kids from lower age groups, like 10 and 11 year olds?????? Not suposed to do that. How about paying on time?? Taking over fields when other teams are supposed to be using them??? Got any ansewers for that? Stop #iching and get involeved. Have you lined a field? Have you gone to a Bridge meeting? Start asking them(Bridge) questions insted of getting on here and fishing.

You said you were a long time member of SSC and have spent one season with Bridge and your conclusions seem to tell me that any broken ties between the two is Summerville's fault.
Maybe there is more to the picture than just what you want.
And as I remember SSC was competitive with the rest of the state..Don't you remember?

I am not a bridge basher...... in fact I wish the entire lowcounty would buy in. But at the same time I am involved in ssc and I can't stand by an let it slide if I feel ssc is being made to look bad. I benifit from both clubs and I send all my players there to play. Just tell both sides of the story. Peace out!

I feel exactly the same way...I have children that participate in both programs and feel that they will come to some solution over their original agreement and if they do not find a solution and split up..Then who are we to point fingers and say it's your fault.. It takes two to come up with an agreement so let the two share the blame if it fails..

SSC has not cut ties with the Bridge. The SSC board set the Bridge contract back to the Bridge with the small changes they wanted in January. SSC is waiting to hear back from the Bridge. The Bridge meets at the end of January so we should hear or know somthing soon.
