Why would a Bridge team consider going to Charleston United?? Kind of going backwards. From eating Steaks to hamburgers.

As long as the team has completed its season and the player is not on a team going to regionals people can talk to players about moving to other teams and other clubs all day long. Yes, recruiting goes on all the time, but the most important thing you must have is loyalty.

I wasn't questioning the recruiting being "legal", but the fact that discussions are going on with SSC Board and the Bridge FA and a Board member is doing this behind the scenes. I guess we know what his/her vote is on the alliance.

I did a quick count on Hotstat and saw that MPSC only had one team in Premier league this fall whereas Bridge had 5 (that includes the U14s). Although I haven't counted, it seems that MPSC is fielding far fewer challenge level teams as well. Especially on the girls side it seems like there are fewer options for an elite player to compete at the highest level at MPSC unless they bring 11 friends with them.

There was a board meeting last night...I guess that board member was not present at the meeting...I would like to think that more got accomplished than just spreading rumors about absent members..Looks like that SSC/BFA situation must not be on the forefront of discussions at the meeting. If some coach called or try to recruit your child..I would take that as a compliment to know that there are teams or coaches that want your child to play for them and if it's not to your liking..then just say no thanks!!

Although technically it is a violation of SCYSA if the player is being recruited in season...

Once you have played state cup your season is complete. So, if you have a child playing U15 and above and your team is not going to regionals, then your season is over.

If you have a chold that plays u-14 and below then your season is not over until May.

Coldhardtruth - I don't know what the Board member being absent last night has anything to do with this, but as far as rumors, I saw the e-mail. I have a feeling he will not be very open-minded to the discussions between the Bridge FA and SSC. I just hope he doesn't want to Coach, scratch that, I do hope he coaches, I've seen his work, I just hope we play them.

Well if you saw it in a email..it must be true!!! If you are going to spread rumors about someone then that person usually is not present at the time..Just making an observation..and it sounds like that email had a name attached to it from your last comment..Who in their right mind would believe such a rumor...Why not ask the board member yourself? And the other sixteen sets of parents that are going to CUSC? Does not make any sense to me..
