Moving forward........
Does anyone have any projections or opinions regarding the Spring that they care to post? Teams that overachieved in the Fall coming back to earth in the Spring, or vice versa?
Teams that are set for a bangup Spring?
Age groups that look to be wide open and exciting for the Spring?

I predict that the CESA Premier U-18 Girls, the Lexington U-17 Boys, and the Discoveries Mutiny U-16 Boys will not win a league game this spring. 
Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

IMO, no, there will be little change at the top of any particular U13 or U14 division (discounting teams that move divisions) in either the challenge or classic divisions. The 2-3 top teams in each division had relatively high average goal differentials in addition to winning
In particular,
a) CUFC U14 boys and U14 girls will win the U14 spring SCSCL regular season.
b) Bridge 93 boys and CESA 93 girls will win the U13 Spring SCSCL regular season.
One question that I have in the U13B challenge would be whether CESA 93 boys premier can parlay playing up the last couple of years to a 2nd place finish behind the bridge 93 boys when they return to the normal playing age; and hold off a fairly strong MPSC and younger CESA premier team? I think so ... thoughts?

Just curious....CUFC U14 Boys finished 4th in their age bracket in the Fall - why would you expect them to finish 1st in the Spring?

I believe that the Bridge 93G will give the CESA 93G a run for thier money if they play in thier correct age group this season. They have a very good coach that is an excellent trainer.

How many U-13 and U-14 teams are affected by the JV season? My team will not be playing a spring club season because most of the team is on various local JV teams. We had a great fall season, but now it's time to switch to school ball. We're in a smaller town, and that means most of the good 8th graders, and even a number of 7th graders, are needed for the high schools to have JV teams. That may not affect the larger soccer communities, but I'm guessing that at least some of the better U-14s in the big clubs are interested in playing for their school colors. I don't mean to turn this into a debate of the pros and cons of school vs. club. I'm just interested in how other clubs are affected.

lurker: cesa 92 and bridge 92 will be in RIII, bridge 93 (I assume) goes to U13, leaving CUFC 92 next in line.

Up in our neck of the woods, especially on the girls side, the competitive players play both club (U-13 & U-14) and JV Girls (7th & 8th grade) in the spring. It is a commitment.
Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

My U13 son would like to play JV but cannot because of schedule conflicts with Club ball. I can't see him playing school ball until 9th grade and U15.
I simply can't see choosing school over Club. I'm sure there are plenty of situations where you might. But if your kid is on a Gold team at Bridge or a Premier team at CESA or an Elite team at CUFC.....there is no way you do school over Club.
