I’ll say this so a Lexington player doesn’t have to. In the Northwestern playoff game last year the Lexington defense played a stellar game. Northwestern won off a well executed set play with some built in distractions. It was not indicative of the Lexington defensive play. (but it WAS beautiful). The second goal was a gimme for Enzo with everyone pushed up for an equalizer in the last minutes. Lexington D had nothing to be shamed of. For me, the big thing was Lexington’s inability to find the net. They had several opportunities that didn’t happen. I remember one rocket that went over the soccer net cross bar and under the goalpost cross bar. Crazy stuff.
