What does everyone expect to happen in region 8? It was a close call last year as to which team would take region 8, with Hilton Head coming out on top, but they are now a 3A school. With the teams left, who do you think will take the region this year?

My standings as of now...

1. Fort Dorchester
2. Summerville
3. West Ashley
4. Beaufort
5. Colleton County
6. Battery Creek

Everybody seems to think Fort D. is gonna have some sort of unbelievable team this year. From what I saw last season, they didnt seem to be superstars but did win enough close games. Did they get anybody new or why does everybody have them ranked so high? From last year's action it seemed like WA, Summerville, and actually maybe even Beaufort were better than the Fort. This not coming from much in depth insight or info on these teams but from an observers point of view that is the way the games and scores showed. However I do understand Fort D. had plenty of young guys last year...

Yes I know they won and lost close games but soccer is all about close games, especially in a region that tight. But what is making them so great THIS year that makes them everyone's favorite?

I think you guys are leaving out a very dangerous Beaufort team. They beat Summerville once, kept it close with HH and Ft. D twice, and they had a very young team from last year. From what I know they did not lose many impact players, so expect some upsets from them.

you also have to remember that this is just preseason predictions based on paper right now. All the teams could be brilliant, but no one knows for sure yet anyways. Its just for fun right now. I'm sure that all of the teams in Region 8 are very talented and should make for a good region battle.
