So after an action packed weekend of soccer with many interesting results who are everybody's "new" favorites?

I would say Northwestern is obvioulsly going to win it all in 4A and most likely Dutch Fork representing the Lowerstate.

In 3A however I think that Greenville is going to give Riverside a good fight. I think that Chapin is still going to win the Lowerstate with several strong performances this past weekend against their what you could say is the main competition Myrtle Beach for Lowerstate.

I would never say "obviously" this team is going to win in high school soccer as it pertains to whom is going to win the state championship! The season is young, people and teams can come on strong, and injuries can occur. These all can affect the outcome of the season. We will all have to wait and see as the season progresses to see who will come out on top. Good luck to all the teams! There will be a lot of good soccer this season!

If you are going to argue a point, at least get factual information to back up your side.....

there are more than a few teams that will challenge NW if they play them, wando and SV will definalty compete for the lowerstate championship. NW will definalty have a challenge in the palmetto cup where they r in a group with lexington, and if they dominate the whole tournament, then you can say they will obviously repeat

one can be beaten, two can defend themselves, but a a strand of three is not easily defeated

Big game on the 28th between Greenville and Riverside at Greenville. GHS has a few reason to really want this one...it will be interesting to see how RHS responds.

No way can you say a team is "obviously" is going to win. I think there is a good number of teams that will compete with NW in upperstate!

NW is off to a good start, and will be strong this season, but I'm not about to annoint them (or anyone else) champions at this point in the season. Lex, Mauldin, Dorman, and even Irmo will all be solid. Irmo always seems to be ready to play during the playoffs. Remember, it's pre-season. What you see now is not necessarily what you will get at the end of the year. If I remember correctly Greenville destroyed everyone last year, was ranked #1 in the nation and ended up losing to Riverside in the playoffs. There is no "obviously" at this time of the year.

what he said, yes nw is good but so are df, lex, the vlley and perhaps wano and mauldin. after the palmetto cup last year, everyone handed nw the championship and while trojans won, the last three games were by one goal apiece. way too early to annoint anyone champion. big game next monday at the valley, who will win, trajans or the vikes?

SV played some good matches this weekend, but the 4-1 loss to Lexington had to hurt. I think in terms of momentum, a loss monday would be worse for them than NW. Too many key people gone on both sides to be considered a rematch, but a key game for the Vikings anyway you slice it. I'll give them the edge with a home crowd and say 1-0 on a late penalty kick, a finish sure to light up the message boards.

I didn't do it, but if I had you never would have known.
