Lexington over Dutch Fork 2-1

Very controversial no call for offsides on the lexington first goal. Poor referee job on this game.

SV went up 1-0 about 10 minutes into the second half and then Irmo responded, picking up the pace of play. The goals were scored by junior Daniel Lynch, freshman Zach Acree, and sophmore Trent Morgan (set up by a great run and assist by sophmore Kyle Hubbard). The goals were scored in that order.

This was a very well played match by Irmo who organized repeated offensive attacks from the back line forward as they defended as a team all over the pitch. Good job boys!

The no-call on the 1st Lexington goal was the correct decision. Video shows the player was put onside by a defender on the other side of the field.

How much of a contribution is being added by the state champs Lex u17 players? Are they getting much playing time? From what I've heard, there are quite a few of these Jr.s on the Lexington team.

Just to keep things in perspective, SV played the game minus five starters. Three did not play at all, a fourth started and tried playing injured but came out after a couple of minutes and the fifth went out halfway through the first half after being injured. The team gave it their best but just could not pull out a win.
