DF over SV in Sudden death pk's.
1-1 after regulation.
3-3 after 5 pks. (I think SV made 1st 3 and DF made last 3.)
Sudden death: SV misses 1st DF makes 1st.

DF over SV - key game in a competitive region. It is my feeling, based on the SCHSL pairings, that the winner of Region V in AAAA Girls' Soccer has a fairly easy road to the Lower State final. It's going to be fun to watch them "duke it out" for that critical seeding!

Hanna goes up 1 with 5 minutes left. Wren pulls even at 4:45. Taylor Craft - 2 goals and Caitlin Robinson adding an assist were offensive highlights, but none bigger than Hannah Gmereck's (sp?) 3 goals despite "special attention" all night. Both teams lost a player during the match to injury. Wren is back and the region championship goes through Powdersville.

Greenwood 5
Westside 0

Greenwood lead 1-0 at halftime. Westside contributes an own goal to double the score, and G-wood puts the pressure on in the last 7 minutes to add 3 more.

WOW, how did they hold the best forward in the state to nil?
Must be more to Wren than meets the eye? I think her name is spelled Gmerek. Pretty impressive considering the "special attention" she received. Maybe Wren should be in the top 15?
