Hey I agree with you there. I said the coach knows how to win. I think he has "outcoached" all of his opponents so far with the exception of Eastside. That doesn't mean the games they play are anything but BORING. But I guess it's not about excitement it's about getting the win right. Like I also said I don't think that style of play however will continue to work for them come playoff time, but hey I "don't understand soccer" so what do I know. Just my own personal opinion, and I still hate going to PK's no matter what you think!!

I LOVE great defense in every sport I watch!!! Every sport I have been involved in teaching to my daughter, I have always taught defense first and foremost - to the point where she is a goalie in soccer.

The core of my opinion - if you are referring to me with your condescending comments about "americans are not ready of soccer" - rests with how great defensive games are decided. It is interesting that all of your examples of great defense in sports that the US loves - the decision of a winner is made with all of the athletes participating.

I just don't understand why soccer - a beautiful team game - defaults to potentially deciding its champion with something so lacking in teamwork as PK's?

You seem more frustrated now with the way it was decided, rather than the result itself. Do you accept that the end justified the means?

Some of us on here do have a clue. Hats off to the strategy, it gets the desired result. But humor me here, all things equal, is it easier to prevent goals or easier to score goals?....generally speaking.

I have participated in, and watched, many invigorating victories and heartbreaking losses. I HATE losing, but there is one thing that I hate even worse - NOT COMPETING AT ALL!!! I do not think that PK's provide the competing athletes with a chance to do so when it comes to deciding the champion!!!

Dorman is to be congratulated for all they have accomplished. I am not trying to denigrate their acheivements in any way. It just so happens that this pet peave of mine came up under this thread!

Deahler, all my comments are angrily derived from our first and only meeting. You shook my hand and shook yours...and then your team promptly slapped/spanked/knocked us out of the playoffs 3-0. I may never forgive you and your kind, thus dedicating my life to questioning Wildcat motives.
