Uh...yep. The refs are supposed to be cracking down on profanity and coaches were told that cards would be given out if the ref heard a profanity used, even if it wasn't directed at another player. Here is my question: Why the crackdown on soccer? If anyone thinks that there is not rampant use of profanity in football and basketball, please let us know. According to some recent statistics, 32% of all ejections in SC sports are soccer related. Something doesn't add up. # of players on football teams and coaches compared with soccer and # of schools with football and basketball programs vs ones with soccer. Could it be that soccer is taking it on the chin for no good reason? If the same rules applied to football as with soccer, half of the players of the teams would be ejected every game.
