The parents definition of a handball: If the opposing team players hand/arm remotely grazes the ball it will be determined a handball and my team will take possession in the attempt to score.

Profanity has become synonymous with intensity level. If you use profanity you are intently focused on the game. As the younger players see this type of behavior from the older players they believe this statement is true. Of all the soccer games I have witnessed only one coach has removed a player for the use of profanity.

Just one observation on the parents definition of a handball -

My team needs every opportunity to score.....so to look steadily, intently, and with fixed attention on the ball gives my team the upper hand.

Sometimes I laugh to fool the people into believing I know what I am taking about.

I had a player get a red card the other night because the ball hit the referee and the player said to himself..."Get the hell out of the way"..only problem is that the referee was only about 5 feet away...in my opinion should have only been a yellow

"freakin unbelievable" is a just a substitute for the other "F" word. It's used in the same context. I would warn you once and card you after that. I agree the "get the hell out of the way" was not a red card offense. I guess the ref's took it personally. Refs make cracks all the time about parents not knowing the rules, but refs make calls many times on their emotions, not the rules. I also agree, PARENTS NEED TO KNOW THE HANDBALL RULE!! Geez, they drive me crazy! LOL One more point and I'll get off my soap box, the players should NEVER talk back to a referee. I don't care what the situation is.
