This game was one of the best high school games I have ever witnessed. Both teams played with great intensity and skill and it was obvious how important this game was to both teams. BFT carried the play more in the first half and had most of the possession but FD was the team who broke the juggernaut about 10 mins in with a nice header/flick on goal. Half ended at 1-0 but BFT scored early in the 2nd on a shot within the 18. FD then scored an extremely contraversial goal off a rebound with 15 mins to go as the FD player seemed to be obviously standing 5 yards offsides. BFT then went into a lull and seemed to move lethargically around the pitch with no desire to score. But another contraversial call then occured, a free kick was given to BFT with literally seconds to go and after a few bounces the ball landed over the goalie outstretched hand and was easily tapped in. PK's dominated by BFT's goalie and Beaufort now stands perched atop the Region 8 standings.
