Waccamaw looks to be very strong. Do they have a lot of girls playing on the Coastal challenge teams?

for the most part i believe they play together. also i think they are very young group. so second year coach there really received a gift when he took over for current wando coach. they could really do some great things over the next few years. it would be suprising if they don't win state this year. or at worst play for the title.

Woodruff should take the upstate this year. This season the wolverines have already beaten Christ Church (2005 upstate winner) and Southside Christian (2006 upstate winner). As a matter of fact Woodruff is currently ranked 3. Not a fair ranking in my opinion. When does Waccamaw face BE?

Everyone on the South Strand has been anticipating the arrival of this team. These girls are the Orange Crush Challenge team and they have been playing together since Rec. It's not often that an entire club team ends up going to the same high school, but it happened. I think they have 16 9th/10th graders and still have a few more 8th graders moving up. The next few years will be exciting for girls soccer at Waccamaw. Also, looking at the stats you would think that they are running up the score. Coach Brennan has been trying to keep the scoring down by removing players from the field when they score and playing freshman. In one particular game, they only had 7 players on the field and all freshman.

WOW! - What will they be doing 3 years from now......

Waccamaw has Magnet again tomorrow night and Myrtle Beach on 3/29. Myrtle Beach is another team with a lot of club players. Both should be good games.

Does B.E. have any players from Bridge?

Good luck against B.E. we need teams to step up and give them a challenge this year. But Waccamaw's schedule shows that they have not played a team with a winning record yet. I know thats not the teams fault but have you guys really been tested yet?

Yes, Bridge has several Challenge players on the BE team. At least 5 Freshmen. I'm not sure what club the older girls play for. They've got a lot of great talent on that team.

Oh believe me, I'm not sure they have been truly tested yet either. The Bishop England and Myrtle Beach games will be their big tests. However, being such a young group, it's exciting to see how good they are, and how good they can become...
