This site is an easy forum to pontificate and moralize a position. As far as opinions, we all know the old saying .... The real question becomes why is soccer one of the few under officiatied sports in high school? Because it is a contact sport, why don't our advocates push for proper certification and the three official system? The answer is obvious and it goes back to the SCHSL and their priorities. Governing the tempo of the match and safety of the players is the foremost concerns. Watch a professional or college match. Officials completely ignore the spectators and focus completely on the match. The SCHSL is an obtuse organiztion that only changes when they cannot forestall legal action.
