Who do you think are the top players in 2A?

Per request of Coach Fernando Gomez at Woodruff:

Jessica Thomas, Sweeper
Amanda Tinker, Midfielder
Megan Sumner, Forward

It's difficult to imagine that there is a better player in 2-A than Jessica Thomas.

Dropping below the 2-A level I'd add two other names: Caroline Clarke (signed with Appalachian State) at Greenwood Christian and Marisa Leconte at Spartanburg Day (signed with Marshall).

I'm going to throw Pendleton GK Caitlin Williams (signed with Western Carolina) name in the ring as well.

Cap'n: Great name...overlooked her completely...my fault.

Also think that Jamie Shaw and Margaret Ann Burrows are very good players (I think both play in the SCISA).

I'm hoping others will contribute as well...2A and below doesn't get the attention they deserve...

Emerald also has a great keeper. Technically sound and one of the best I have seen all season - in any division.

The keeper for Woodruff, Jordan Lawson, has gotten good reviews. Since playing goalie is one of the hardest positions on the field, they deserve to be acknowledged just as much as other players.

I agree with all the players that have been mentioned in the previous posts. They are all great athletes.

Jordan Lawson at WHS is a fine keeper and person; she is tremendously dedicated to her team and her position. She definitely deserves recognition!

Emerald's goalkeeper is Rachel Baggett (Junior).

Chico: If you count SCISA as 2A, then there are several girls in SCISA other than Barrows (Sr.) and Shaw (Jr.) at Cardinal Newman that have always been overlooked. I know Ben Lippen has a couple. The Lowcountry might have a couple also.
