David Burley from Wando plays for Hampton Sidney, and there are three kids from Charlotte on the team. As a D3 they have no sports scholorships so you have to be in the 3.5 range or true hardship to get money. That said, for a prospect that has the grades they can come up with some very good numbers, and anyone who has the skill and the grades should send them an information package. The plus is if they want you, you are going to play. The negative is that people on this board will dis you because it is a D3 school. If that bothers you thats too bad because it's not unheard of for them to put 60% or better of the yearly cost on the table.

yall need 2 stop dissin on good players, and whats wrong with D3 most of those schools are more academically oriented and unless u r a phenomanal soccer player your school degrees are what is going to earn u money in life

It is funny how ignorant some people on this website are. We are talking about a sub par player that...WILL NOT PLAY AT THE "NEXT LEVEL", unless the next level is bagging grocerys at the local piggly wiggly. Has anyone ever seen a college game, where does he fit in at? Ballboying?

O.k. I think it's time to bust spaz. He signed on a few days ago, and began posting about Lexington players and trying to raise a ruckus. His 7 posts are about players who are just decent enough to get someone to defend them, and then everyone else jumps in and rips them to shreds. Cool game. It reminds me of Irmostriker last year who no more played for Irmo than I did.

Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach is a very goo D3 program. They have been to the NCAA the past 5-6 years.

D3, means you must really want to play college soccer!

D3 means a lot of different things. Here's a few:

1. You play because you love to play, not because you HAVE to play.
2. Academics come first.....soccer second.
3. You can enjoy more of the college experience, not just committed to soccer 24/7.

Doesn't mean it is any less competitive. All teams are still eligible for, and strive to win, the NCAA D3 National Championship. Messiah College, who has dominated the division the past few years, could probably beat half of the D2 teams in the nation on a good day.
