Cardinal Newman is defenitly the most talented team in SCISA, Ive seen these guys play. That group of MFs led by Allen can play with anyone.

man u obviously havent seen pwood play if your going to say C.N is the most talented team is SCISA. Like i said earlier, pwood is going to win the title. Again.

Hammond tied CN in regulation w/o the starting golie who broke his arm against PP in a 7-0 loss a week or so earlier. PP WILL make belivers of CN and the 3A/4A teams soon.

who has CN beat other than at best a decent Chapin and BC team. They beat hammond 5-4 in pk's but pinewood beat hammond 6-0 4 days before...both winners hosted...Pinewood beat CN 5-0 last year..unless CN gained new players..there is always a chance... it is soccer but it is unlikely...Pinewood is too skilled...CN is by far the best SCISA upstate team but better than pinewood? not quite

Pinewood is the top team in SCISA (and possibly the lowcountry, SCHSL included) until somebody proves otherwise. How many losses does PP have to SCISA teams in the last 3years? I do not think any other SCISA team could hang with Bishop England and PP has already beat them. Pinewood will prove themselves in the Palmetto Cup to the doubters. It should be a fun tournament.

I really would like to see all those matches in the Palmetto Cup. PP could prove that they are serious and beat good teams in Lexington and Northwestern. Lexington also has the opportunity to show if they are the team that will beat Northwestern. All these games will be hard fought and it will be interesting what happens.

I'm pretty sure the answer to your question is, ZERO. If I recall correctly, the last SCISA team to beat Pinewood was Ben Lippen in the playoffs of 2003, I think. Hilton Head Christian came close with a tie in a lightning shortened match, 2005 I think.

I can't really talk to the skill level of CN, but based on their results, it's pretty clear they can play. However, that said, I don't think they have near the "depth" of skill level to match up with Pinewood. Unlike the last couple of years, the SCISA upstate appears to have a clear front runner in CN.

I saw CN play earlier in the season and I was impressed with their level of play.Thomas Winstead gives them a player up top that causes problems with his speed and Coach Eudy will have them well organized in the midfield and in the back.I'm not sure about their keeper as quite frankly Wilson Hall didn't test him .With that being said ,everyone is just pretenders until they prove they can play with Pinewood..Pinewood does something very few high school soccer teams in SC can do and that is put 11+ quality players on the field.Most every team,even AAA and AAAA public schools has a hole or 2.Not Pinewood, in my estimation.

Last year I think Ben Lippen emerged as the favorite in the upstate. This year I think Cardinal Newman has achieved that favorite status earlier. Regardless, there are many more games yet to play, and the upstate has traditionally been somewhat dynamic.
