A coach makes a comment to one of his defenders “The ref is not calling offsides today. You are going to have to get back.”
The ref overhears the comment and says “Coach that is enough out of you. One more word and you are out of here.”
After halftime, the coach instructs one his players on the field to “Step quicker to the ball.”
The ref overhears the coach and says “Coach I thought I said not another word, and I mean not another word!! Do you understand me? Just say yes or no!”
The coach dryly says, “Yes or No.”

I heard this one at a club match a few weeks ago:

Coach---speaking to the center ref "Ref, tell them to back off 10 yards." He turns and looks at the sideline ref and says, "Why isn't he backing them off?"

Sideline ref---to coach "Sir, you have to ask for the 10 yards."

Coach "That;s encroachment. If I have to ask for it all the time, what are we paying you for then?"

"Ref if you call advantage, it needs to be sooner!"

In a situation where the ref calls a handball after one of our players chested it into the goal. At Half-time when asked about it he said. "I felt it was the right call, I was out of position though."
BTW we have a great photo of the ball hitting our player while it was already in the goal!

This wasnt a soccer game but

During a football game One team kicked an onside kick and recovered. None of the refs where in postion and didnt know what happened.... the head ref called a "redo"

An official to me:

"Whew! Coach, I'm sorry! I really blew that one!"
