Dear SC Soccer Community
Many of your have received a postcard from MPSC that shows Andy Grist and Patrick Olalere as a part of their staff. What we are accomplishing with this is the transformation of CUSC into the true Charleston United Soccer Club. In a united environment, coaching staffs cross boundaries to help the entire organization. The organizations involved in the United club support the efforts through financial and logistical support. We are presently working on all this.
Bottom line, contrary to the rampant rumor mill (that is almost always wrong!), Charleston United Soccer Club is not folding. We are building for the future through cooperative agreements with many organizations. We are financially sound and are looking to share our greatest assets, our coaching staff, with the organizations willing to partner for the future and build a true united organization. We will be stronger than ever in 2007-2008 through these efforts.
Our club structure remains the same, the same coaching staff and DOC will be in place for 2007-2008, and we will continue to build on our successes this year. I am excited about the future and I hope you are too. We are building competitive soccer teams from U9 through U18, boys and girls, and look forward to strong CUSC teams for the 2007/8 seasons.
