- Airport becoming the strongest team in 3-A in the midlands area.

(Note: If they can knock off Riverside or Eastside, this will be an even bigger story.)

- Riverside winning both the Viking Cup and the Fort Mill Invitational.

- Dorman remaining very, very strong despite losing some key seniors.

- Byrnes coming out of nowhere to be ranked in the top #10 with an incredibly difficult schedule.

- If Lexington wins their region (and that's a big if), the third year in a row Lexington will win its region with a coach who during that time has not been named region coach of the year (note: this is my one "homer" statement here and a hint to those that vote for region coach of the year.)

Chico,

We don't agree on everything, but I totally agree with you about Coach Fryland. That has always been a difficult region, everyone in the region wants to beat Lexington, and they continue to win. I know he is loaded with talent, but someone has to lead that talent,

I hope that Airport, or one of our local teams can get the opportunity to knock off either one of the "sides" in a title game.

Remember guys there is alot more to this game than just scoring. I have said it before and I'll say it again a fowards job is to score there is 10 other players on the field that have help make it happen and I do not see anyone giving their other players credit they deserve. How do they get the ball to score? Can a player @ the forward position now play another postion at the next level?

Daniel 1
Woodmont 0, as a forfeit.

At Woodmont. Waited, in the rain, for referees to show up. One finally did at 6:30 for a 5:30 game. With boys game scheduled to start at 7:30 and no second ref, Woodmont decides to forfeit.

Daniel finishes their regular season undefeated in Region 1-AAA (14-0).
