Oh yeah, and Socastee will lose in the championship game again by a goal or two.

I take Chapin past Socastee only because Chapin is a solid team this year, and they have great team chemistry as well. I think if Joey, Haze, or Stone get the ball inside 20 yds then they will put a goal away easy. I also think that Chapin's back line is pretty solid with T. Williams and E. Deyoung. If the forwards some how get past that back line then they will have to deal with one of the best keepers in the state(Greg DeMare). Thats ofcourse my bias opinion.

agreed cabj12 ...let these lowerstate players and fans keep building themselves up, and they will feel so impressed with their lowerstate championship...then they will play Greenville /Riverside and see what a true champion is...rubbish

18, after watching Chapin this year, then if DeMare had to be counted on as the starting keeper all year, I doubt that they would be in the position they are in. Weinspach is by far the better keeper and soccer player. When DeMare goes in then Socastee will have a chance!

Considering DeMare has only played for 4 years and he is as good as he is says something. Haze has been playing for most of his life so he should be better, but i think that they are both very good keepers and no matter which one is in goal Chapin has a strong keep.

cabj12 if i remember correctly riverside's defense did shut down sebastion last year. Riverside's defense consisits of 3 Cesa premeir players.( one use to play but now plays football). And Riverside's offense is good enough to score on Greenville. Also look for Rodgers to controll the middle

and by the way DeMare has started in goal for Chapin in all the playoff games this yr

sebastian was a freshman last year... hes just gotten better. And if you want to talk about a good defense lets talk about greenville. Blair Rushing get very little credit but i think is the BEST defender in the state. Hes a wall, he will win every header and clean up anyone or anything that comes through. He is the reason they have only let up 2 goals all year. Riverside is a deep team so that can play to their advantage... but they dont have a player like sebastian that can take the team on his shoulders and come through whenever needed or blair that will stop you no matter who you are. Riversides defense is good but they did give up 3 goals in 30 minutes to eastside however in most of the first half when eastside was in greenvilles half most of the time, greenville kept composed and didnt let up a goal. They all collapse on you so quickly and cover for each other... good luck scoring against them... but it definately will be a great game and i think riverside has a good chance but Greenville has the edge and will be extremely tough to beat

Yes soccadad, you do remember correctly even though I wasn't there. I know what Riverside consists of and I know Castro, Peter, and King. They are all good defenders and honestly I don't think any of them can consistently shut down Sebastian. They are all very good, but he can potentially be "INCREDIBLE". As a unit, they definately can, but the question is will they? Yeah Riverside is capable of scoring on Greenville, but honestly their offense is not very good so you never know how they will play. Like I said, Riverside needs to control the midfield to create chances and have a chance to win the game. It could be Rogers last game, so I hope he will step up and take over whether he plays with Alejandro, Jeff Day, or whoever. As Barc said Sebastian has only gotten better and he CAN take over a game. Riverside will have to work together to make sure he doesn't just take one person on at a time, cause that could get ugly. And Greenville has CESA Premier players too. Its not going to be easy to get through Rushing of Huff and 95% of the throw-ins wont work with since Rushing clears them out. Eastside was in their half the majority of the time and had trouble even getting shots on goal. Right as they were about to get a shot or set up a chance, Greenville would swoop in and take it away. And if I remember correctly, it was a 4-4 overtime game last year. I said the score would be 2-1 Greenville, that is not a blowout. I even said Riverside has the chance to win if they shutdown Sebastian, control the midfield, and get scoring chances by counterattacking. I have no idea you will come with their A game, but whoever does it likely to win. And if both bring their A game, well it is gonna be one hell of a game. Hopefully I will see you at the game, I'll be sitting on the Riverside side.
